Foundation

    In October 2004, a group of interested families joined to form the Historic South-View Preservation Foundation, Inc. A Georgia Not-For Profit Corporation. The Foundation Board, headed by William Whitaker Allison, will endeavor to record, interpret, restore and preserve the art, history and environment of Historic South-View. Many well known Atlantans whose contributions must be remembered and preserved are buried in Historic South-View dating back to 1886. Beautiful landscaping, monuments and memorials are also included in the area.

The Foundation board is in its organizational stage, and would like to hear from anyone interested in helping to preserve this historic area. The cemetery staff will pass on any information that is sent to the Foundation through the Contact Us tab on this web site. If you believe that you have family buried in the Historic area, please email or call the cemetery.

The Foundation is looking forward to a wonderful 120th anniversary celebration in April 2006! We'd love to have your help in making it a memoriable occasion for all of Atlanta, but particularly for the old Atlanta families that have loved ones buried in the Historic area of South-View Cemetery.
