South-View Cemetery is conveniently located about 15 minutes south of Downtown Atlanta in the Historic Lakewood Heights area of the city. We are just off of I-85, north of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and south of the Braves current stadium. The cemetery is also easily accessible from I-285 via the Jonesboro Road exit and connects well with Southwest Atlanta via GA166 East.
Our grounds consist of more than 100 acres of green space with beautiful flat plateaus as well as scenic rolling hills. Inside our gates one can forget that it is surrounded by an urban neighborhood. There are areas planned for private estates, a new garden style mausoleum and peaceful in ground gardens at price points for every budget.
There are more than 70,000 people currently resting at South-View with generations of families that continue their legacies with us. Some are well known to Atlanta’s History and others are well known only in their family settings, but all are important to us. The staff and management feel a special connection and responsibility to the grounds maintenance and to the families that they serve, in part because generations of our families are also buried at South-View. When you enter our gates you are cared for like a part of our family.
